Nike Rugby Camp at MSU

Rugby athletes in the Midwest are invited to join the newest overnight rugby camp in Michigan hosted by Michigan State University and directed by Clemson Head Coach, Justin Hickey, and former USA U20 Coach, Scott Lawrence.

The Nike Rugby Camp at Michigan State offers a four-day, three-night camp experience directed by a nationally recognized staff. Athletes, ages 14 - 18, participate in high-level training on and off the pitch each day. The overnight camp includes key fundamental drills, high performance education modules, competitive match play, meals, housing and evening group activities. Whether you're new to the sport or looking to advance your existing skill set, this program can provide the tools to improve your abilities on the rugby pitch.

A commuter option is available for local rugby athletes. Each day runs from 9:00am - 5:00pm (times may vary on first and last day) and includes all rugby activities and lunch. 

HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE

  • Instruction and direction by nationally recognized coaching staff
  • Skill-based group structuring to maximize the advantage for players of all ages and abilities
  • Small group sizes: approximately an 8:1 player to staff ratio
  • Seminar sessions on nutrition, mental preparation, strength & conditioning, and film analysis
  • Focus on individual skill development and team play
  • Experience campus life with accommodations at Michigan State University
  • Match competition on final day of camp
